Developing Architecture drawings

Developing the marks and textures created from the plants found in the New Forest by layering building structures on top. For this I have used black biro and images I have collected of brutalist buildings. The combination of these depicts the Brutalist Architecture well, however appears chaotic. The composition is basic and would not create an interesting repeat or design. However, with a change of composition and placement this could work well.

To develop my architectural drawings I wanted to create a less chaotic look to my drawings, and therefore decided to take apart the architecture drawings to create motif like shapes that can be adapted and abstracted to produce a more complex, visually appealing outcome. In these drawings I have abstracted certain lines from the buildings to portray architecture in a more conceptual way, making it less about the buildings and more abstract shapes that can be adapted from them. I plan to develop this further, adding colour, more textures, and create aggressive shapes by overlapping and manipulation them. The will link to the structures found in Brutalist Architecture.
